The Barq Daily app relies on a range of modern technologies to ensure a seamless and distinctive shopping experience. These include:
Mobile applications: There are two applications, one for the customer and the other for the delivery agent, built using flutter to ensure the best quality and performance across various smartphone devices. The delivery agent application is designed for delivery agents, helping them manage orders and deliver them efficiently using technologies similar to the customer application.
Content Management System: is used to enable the management team to easily manage products, offers, and updates. This system is embedded in the admin control panel, through which all these processes are managed.
Database: It uses a robust and secure MySQL database to ensure efficient management of big data and its organized and secure storage.
Electronic Payment System: Integrates secure payment gateways and local payment solutions to ensure smooth and secure payment processes.
Real-Time Tracking: GPS technology is used to track agents in real time, enhancing the efficiency of delivery operations and allowing customers to track their orders.
Challenges:
Developing the Barq Daily app required a great deal of effort and dedication to overcome the unique challenges we faced as a development team. Here’s a brief overview of those challenges and how we successfully overcame them:
Digital infrastructure in Yemen: We were faced with a limited technical environment and poor internet speed and connectivity. Therefore, we developed a simple and fast app that consumes less data and operates efficiently even in weak network conditions.
Device and platform diversity: The app is compatible with a wide range of Android and iPhone devices of various versions. We used cross-platform app development technologies such as Flutter to provide a seamless and consistent experience across all devices.
Security and data protection: We ensured the highest levels of security to protect user data and transactions. We relied on data encryption and security best practices, in addition to using trusted and globally recognized payment gateways.

Local Market Research: We conducted extensive market research to understand the needs and expectations of local customers. We collaborated with experts in the Yemeni market to ensure the app truly meets those needs. Initial Development and User Response: We launched a beta version of the app to gather feedback and suggestions from early adopters. We focused on providing a seamless and user-friendly experience, with continuous improvements based on feedback. Expanding Product and Service Range: We expanded our product range to include everything Yemeni users need, from electronics to groceries, making Barq Daily a comprehensive shopping destination. Efficient and Reliable Delivery System: We developed a real-time tracking system to accurately track deliveries and ensure orders arrive on time. This helped build trust with customers and provide unparalleled delivery service. Analysis of how it works within the application:
The client asked us to create an e-commerce application in Yemen. The application was analyzed based on the following: Market Research: We conducted a comprehensive analysis of the local market in Yemen to determine users' needs and expectations for the online shopping experience. We also surveyed customers about their purchasing habits and the challenges they face in traditional shopping. User Engagement: We used usability testing and interviews to gather user feedback on the initial versions of the application and improve the user experience. As for how the application works, it is as follows: Customer Application: An easy-to-use user interface helps users easily navigate between sections and products, and an advanced search feature makes it easy to quickly find the desired products. Purchase Process: Users add products to their shopping cart with one click, review their cart, and make changes easily before completing the purchase. Multiple secure payment options, including cash on delivery, are available. Tracking and Notifications: Track orders in real time, monitor shipment status, and receive instant notifications about order status, special offers, and discounts. Delivery Agent App: View a list of new and pending orders with delivery details and update the order status after each step (order received, en route, delivered). GPS: Uses GPS technology to determine the best route for efficient delivery of orders, improving delivery times and reducing transportation costs. Admin Dashboard: Manage products and inventory, easily add and update products including images, descriptions, and prices, monitor inventory, and alert management when stock levels are low. Data Analysis: View detailed reports on sales, products, user behavior, and inventory, and use this data to make informed decisions and continuously improve the user experience. Order Management and Support: Monitor all orders and ensure they are processed and delivered on time. Provide immediate customer support to resolve any issues users may encounter.
Web and mobile based solution:
In the Barq Daily app, we used the most advanced and modern programming languages to meet our clients' needs with the highest quality and professionalism. We used the ReactJS programming language for the front-end in the client control panel, and the advanced and fast NodeJS programming language for the back-end. In the mobile section, we used the Flutter programming language to make the app compatible with the popular app stores Google Play and Apple Store.
Compatibility:
When developing the app, it was tested and optimized to ensure compatibility with various browsers, such as Chrome and Safari, and various devices and screens, both on Apple and Google systems, and on smartphones and tablets. Additionally, we ensure that app versions are compatible with supported operating system versions. It may be necessary to update the app regularly to maintain compatibility with new operating system versions and improve performance and user experience.
